JOLIE
yogini sister
She graced this earth
With a beaming forbearance
JOLIE
What is joy
If not
A kind word
A spontaneous smile
Spread via glistening
Blue eyes
Floating on rays of
Sunshine blonde hair
Engaging all who take a moment
To catch her drift
Her long legged grace
Extends to her embracing face
Her respect for boundaries
Her mindful choices
This fall she may cruise
The waters warm and blue
Stars have aligned
How is she not
Venus on the Half Shell!

Your post of generosity to write a poem for readers who responded I had read earlier in the morning. At yoga class I fell into a chat with a woman I had only spoken with once before. She shared she was getting married. Doesn’t every bride “deserve” a Wedding Poem ? Within an hour JOLIE blossomed. 6 degrees of separation. Thanks to your inspiration.
